In Memory of
Private HUGH MAGINNISS

5114456, 2nd Bn., Royal Norfolk Regiment
killed in action age 26
on 19 February 1945 at Mandalay.
Born 28th November, 1918 at Coventry and resided at 60 Parkside. Prior to the outbreak of war Hugh was employed as an insurance Clerk at Law Union and Rock Co. Ltd., Birmingham. ; Hugh was the second son of Daniel Joseph (who paid for the plaque) and Polly Maginniss of 11 High Street Kenilworth.  They had five children: Dan, Molly, Hugh, Nick and Clem. Hugh enlisted in October 1939 and his service included operations in France between February and June 1940 with one of the four Royal Warwickshire battalions.
