On the 14th/15th November 1940 Coventry was systematically bombed by the Luftwaffe. by the end of the night and over the following days, 600 citizens would be lost. a further 1,000 received treatment at Works First Aid Posts, First Aid Post and local hospitals. For acts of heroism awards were given out by His Majesty, St. John's Ambulance Brigade, RSPCA and the Scouts varying from the George Cross to Commendations. This book also includes forty accounts of those who survived the blitz. |
